Robert’s full-length Christmas-themed comedy “The Regifters” was performed in Dubuque in 2006, and Ukiah, California in 2007. The play is the winner of the New American Comedy festival and will return to Dubuque in November. “With Friends Like These”,will be performed in Dubuque in October. He is the winner of the Short & Sweet Sydney(Australia) 10-Minute play festival

“To The Teeth” opened in New York at the Creek Theatre in May 2007. “What’s The Magic Word?” was part 8 MinuteMadness Plays in NYC in 2006 and in YouthFest 2009.  “ Buried But Not Forgotten” appeared at the Insomniac Theater in Hollywood in 2006. “Cafe Wannabe” appeared in the Montana One Act Festival in 2006 .“Dead Serious” was performed at the Little Fish Theatre in Ca. in 2005.  His play “Idiots Out Wandering Around”,  was second in the Kernoble Prize at the University of Arkansas. His play "Slop Bucket" just got accepted at the First Run Theatre in St Louis and David just received the esteemed IMPA award -Best Unproduced Screenplay in Des Moines for "Prarie Dogs". He looks forward to getting it produced in the near future.


Lindsay Tornquist  - Parking Lot
Lindsay Tornquist - Mt Vernon
(Playwright, Parking Lot) is majoring in Theatre at Cornell College. Her 10-minute plays, Lust for Men and A Piece of Cake, have been produced in Iowa and her One-Act, The Sound of Rain, was produced in South Dakota. She is honored to have her work performed here for you today. Finally, thanks to her family for reading every draft!

 

 Jen Silverman - The Education Of Macoloco

Jen Silverman- IOWA CITY
Jen Silverman is an MFA candidate at the University of Iowa. Her monologue "American Food" was performed in Riverside Theatre's Walking the Wire Festival in March, and "Macoloco" was performed at Fusion Theatre Company in New Mexico and in the LiveGirls! Ten Minute Play
Festival in Seattle. Her plays have been developed with New Georges in NYC, the Bay Area Playwrights Festival in SF, hotINK International Festival, and The Playwrights Realm in NYC. This summer she will be a writer in residence at Hedgebrook International Women Writers Colony.
